ad pepper media International NV acquires an interest in the US radio service provider dMarc Broadcasting Inc. and will add broadcasting services to its product range

ad pepper media International N.V. today announces an investment into dMarc Broadcasting Inc., of Newport Beach, California. dMarc Broadcasting recently announced the acquisition of radio automation suppliers Scott Studio, one of the leading providers of broadcasting digital services and data solutions. As a consequence of this, dMarc Broadcasting Inc. currently boasts a customer base of more than 4,600 broadcasting stations in the USA and Canada in the field of radio automation, with more than 40% station penetration across the top 50 US radio groups.

ad pepper media International N.V. is involved in the entire transaction, which is financed by means of a $10 million investment into dMarc Broadcasting and led by further tier-one financial investors, among them the US investment firms Oryx Capital Inc. and King Street Capital L.P. as well as strategic investment partners from the business community.

One of the main reasons for the investment into dMarc Broadcasting Inc. is the agreement to form a new European Joint Venture company between dMarc and ad pepper media with the aim of distributing dMarc’s market-leading radio automation and digital media technologies throughout all of Europe. The systems solve many of the fundamental challenges faced by radio station broadcast groups today, including the measurability of advertising, the simplification of complex booking and reporting procedures and the reduction of unsold commercial time. By handling campaigns interactively, as has been done in the online sector for a considerable time, ad pepper expects a sustainable stimulation of radio turnover, which the company will participate in as a result of the Joint Venture. The Joint Venture will pick up its activity in the course of the year 2005.
