New Personnel for Supervisory Board of ad pepper mediaBack to overview
Amsterdam/Nuremberg, March 21, 2013 – The extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of ad pepper media International N.V. has chosen three new members to serve on the supervisory board. In so doing, the meeting follows the previously announced suggestion. Michael Oschmann retains his post as chairman of the supervisory board. The three new members strengthen the supervisory board’s competence through the inclusion of individuals from the digital industry.
Dr. Ulrike Handel, who had previously been a member of the supervisory board, resigned her post on March 20, 2013 and will henceforth serve as the new CEO of ad pepper media International N.V.
The newly appointed members of the supervisory board, whose membership takes effect at the conclusion of the general shareholders’ meeting, are:
- Thomas Bauer, CEO of Mederer GmbH
- Eun-Kyung Park, Co-CEO of sixx GmbH and Vice President of ProSiebenSat.1 Digital GmbH
- Dr. Stephan Roppel, Director of Direct Platform at Tchibo GmbH.
With Thomas Bauer, ad pepper media’s supervisory board gains a member who is widely experienced thanks to his prior managerial functions at MSP Management Support Partner GmbH & Co. KG, Märklin Holding GmbH and Rudolf Wöhrl AG. His know-how in the financial sector, human resources management, controlling, IT and business planning will further strengthen the supervisory board.
In addition to her international background, Eun-Kyung Park also contributes extensive expertise in the media and online environment. Before her switch to ProSiebenSat.1 Digital GmbH and sixx GmbH, she had been employed by Bertelsmann AG in for eight years in various positions: these posts included Director Retail, which made her responsible for a nationwide chain of bookstores in China, and Vice President Education, in which capacity she established and expanded an educational business in China.
As founder and former managing director of Holtzbrinck eLab, as CEO of the gutefrage Group and as former Vice President Business Development and Strategy for the Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group, Dr. Stephan Roppel will enrich ad pepper media with knowledge that he acquired over many years in his professional career. His core competencies are primarily in the fields of company development and e-commerce.
Among their other tasks, the four individuals who comprise ad pepper media’s supervisory board are responsible for approving ad pepper media’s strategy, its annual budget and its yearly financial statements. In addition to serving supervisory functions, the composition of the supervisory board reflects the international dimension of the online-marketing industry. As critical advisors and sparring partners for the CEO, the members of the supervisory board will provide valuable impulses for the continued successful development of the ad pepper media Group.
