Semantic advertising solution recognised with silver medal at CeBIT

London, March 3, 2009 – ad pepper media has just won a silver medal at the European Seal of e-Excellence Awards, which reward digital media companies for industry-leading innovation.

The international awards are organised by E-Accelerator and the European Multimedia Forum, the principal European not-for-profit organisation to promote Europe’s digital media & technology industries globally. The award ceremony will take place at Europe’s largest ICT Fair, CeBIT in Hanover, on March 3 2009 at 4.30pm.

Recognition of ad pepper media at these awards follows wins at two British digital innovation awards in the past year, organised by E-Consultancy and the IAB. All entries have focused on the iSense and SiteScreen Networks, which use semantic principles to place or block ads respectively.

The SiteScreen Network performs instant semantic analyses of web pages where display campaigns are due to be placed. If pages are judged unsuitable for a brand to appear on because they contain objectionable content in any of twelve categories, the ad is blocked from appearing. The iSense Network can accurately understand what a page a web user is reading is about, in order to place the most relevant display ads alongside.
