ad pepper media acquires Nedstat Basic, the leading global free website analytics solution

Asset transaction significantly extends ad pepper media’s reach and range of free services for website partners.

ad pepper media today announced the takeover of the free website analytics solution Nedstat Basic from Nedstat B.V., the European leader in website analytics.

With this asset transaction, ad pepper media acquires all the respective rights associated with the world’s most frequently used free website analytics solution. Nedstat Basic is an ASP based solution enabling webmasters to measure all the important indicators such as traffic, user behaviour, content and offer performance.

The total purchase price of this transaction is 3 Mio Euros plus a limited earn-out component. The acquisiton will be executed by Web Measurement Services B.V, a newly formed and wholly owned ad pepper media subsidiary based in Hoofddorp.

Nedstat Basic is actively used by more than 600,000 webmasters on approximately 1 million websites around the world and has been continuously growing since its launch in 1996.
 
This acquisition highlights ad pepper media’s continuing strategy to extend the range of revenue generating solutions it provides to its website partners, plus additional free services and solutions such as Adserving and website analytics which have become indispensable tools for professional websites.

ad pepper media will focus on integrating new applications into Nedstat Basic and making ongoing technology and feature enhancements to the product. ad pepper media also plans to rebrand Nedstat Basic whilst maintaining it as a free of charge service. Through this acquisition ad pepper media will double it’s reach and will also be able to offer advanced targeting possibilities to its advertising clients.

The long time planned acquisition of Nedstat basic means a substantial investment and an increase in operating cost for the company, as additional organisational structures have to be set up. Although these investments and associated costs will initially have a negative effect on the result of this financial quarter, ad pepper media is optimistic to register the first positive results from this acquisition as early as the fourth quarter of the current financial year.
